GENERAL INFORMATION
The Canadian Music Competition is now accepting applications for its 2026 edition!

To register, you must contact your local Chapter directly. Each Chapter, in consultation with the national office, determines its own National Audition criteria based on its capacity. Each Chapter will receive your application according to its own procedures. Please click on the email address or website of the Chapter below that corresponds to your mailing address or place of study in 2025–2026.

Please read the instructions for each Chapter carefully:

Registration deadlines may vary depending on your Chapter’s specific requirements: registration deadline, registration form, registration fee, age category, required repertoire, audition time limit, schedule and location of each Chapter’s National Audition, and any other Chapter-specific details.

The National Final will be held at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal (QC) between July 2 and 10, 2026. National finalists will be determined by each Chapter in accordance with the criteria of the national board.

Suggested amount: 250$

The CMC encourages individual contributions at the candidate’s discretion, for which an official donation receipt for income tax purposes will be issued. Your donation will directly impact the organization of the competition and the support of emerging Canadian musicians, as well as the activities of the Chapter in which you register.
