PARTNERS

Since the creation of the National Music Festival in 1958, followed by the launch of the Quebec Music Festival in 1960, and building upon these earlier competitions, the Canadian Music Competition (CMC) was officially established in 1971.
Over the years, the CMC has partnered with many experienced administrators and benefited from the efforts of numerous dedicated volunteers to ensure the organization’s survival by soliciting so many generous donors and sponsors. We want to express our well-deserved gratitude to every one of them.
For the past two years, I have served as Chair of the CMC Board of Directors. I am neither a musician nor a music teacher, but simply a music lover. I am a builder. After a career as an entrepreneur, I completed a master’s degree in project management, followed by a bachelor’s degree in architecture. Life has led me to serve almost continuously on various boards of directors in music, history, education, and health and social services. I learned one thing: there are only two columns, income and expenses. That’s what we need to focus on first.
Greetings to all. Pierre Cabana
