The Canadian Music Competition held its 66th National Final at the Montreal Music Conservatory from July 2 to 10, 2026. Among the 150 finalists — all winners from their respective Chapters’ National Auditions in the provinces of Quebec, Manitoba, Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Nova Scotia — four Grand Prizes were awarded.

19–25 Age Category: From Toronto, Ontario, flutist Josh Chong (21 years old) is a recent graduate of the University of Toronto, where he studied with Susan Hoeppner. Josh is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at the Royal College of Music in the United Kingdom, where he will study with Gitte Marcusson.

15–18 Age Category: From Montreal, violinist Juliette Xiang (16 years old) studies at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal with Andrée Azar.

11–14 Age Category: From Montreal, violinist Aiden Liu (13 years old) trains under Ana Drobac at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal.

7–10 Age Category: From Montreal, pianist Maya Liu (10 years old) studies with Richard Raymond at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and will begin studying with Janelle Fung in fall 2026.
