On Thursday, July 14 at 7:30pm, the Concerts populaires de Montréal series present the CMC 2011 Gala Concert. The concert features four of the National Final winners performing with Orchestre Métropolitain under the baton of Alain Trudel, CMC’s Artistic Ambassador. The soloists are:
- Ania Hejnar, soprano coloratura (Ottawa): 1st place, Voice 22 year old category
- Emma Meinrenken, violin (Toronto): 1st place, Strings 11 year old category
- Éliane Charest-Beauchamp, violin (Longueuil): 1st place, Strings 19 year old category
- Jason Kangsan Lee, piano (Mississauga): 1st place, Piano 21 year old category & 2011 Grand Prize winner
Works by Rossini, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Bartók, Wieniawski, Brahms, Liszt, and Dvořák.
