General directives

Minimum age: 16 years old (as of January 1st, 2017).

Candidates must include in their entire program works in Italian, French and German, and include works from three out of five of the following periods: baroque, classical, romantic, modern and contemporary.

Notice: Your repertoire list must comply with the “Repertoire Guidelines”, as specified in the rules.

National Audition

  1. One aria by J.S. Bach or oratorio aria by Handel or Haydn.
  2. Two lieder by Schubert.
  3. Two French melodies.
  4. One opera aria.
  5. One or several works by the same composer.

Maximum time: 45 minutes

National Final

  1. One opera or oratorio aria.
  2. One song cycle (lieder, melodies, etc).
  3. One song or one opera aria written after 1950.
  4. One or several works by the same composer.

Maximum time: 40 minutes
