The registration fees for the Canadian Music Competitions have been standardized and are now the same all across Canada. In order to normalize the registration costs, the extra fees that some chapters collected have been abolished. This new registration structure guarantees that the National Organization will have enough financial resources for its development and that it will be able to enhance the experience of every candidate, especially during the Great National Audition.
In return, this new adhesion formula will foster the support of local chapters that promote the exposure of candidates in their regions and on a national level. They do so by granting scholarships that help as many candidates as possible from every region in Canada to participate in the Competition. The CMC hopes for a contribution of $500 per candidate. This amount includes the registration fee ($300) and a suggested donation of $200 (at the discretion of the candidate) for which an income tax receipt will be emitted by the Canadian Music Competition*.

Registration fees for cancellations received before can be reimbursed. There is a cancellation fee of $50 and the donation part is not refundable. There are no refund past this date (rule 4.2).
- NSF cheque fee: $15
* The real functioning costs for a Competition with the scope of the CMC is way higher than the registration cost and represents an investment of at least $1000 per candidate. We wish that candidates contribute 50% of this amount; all the while knowing that the donation part is at the discretion of the candidate.
