CMC Winners to play with the Orchestre Métropolitain

On Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 2:00 pm at the Théâtre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts, the Orchestre Métropolitain will welcome three Canadian Music Competition (CMC) winners to the stage. You’ll have the chance to hear Ladusa Chang Ou, violin, 14 years old, CMC winner in 2010, Nicholas Kerr-Barr, clarinet, 17 years old, Grand Prize winner in the 15 to 18 years old category in 2010, and Noam Bierstone, percussion, 20 years old, Grand Prix winner in the 19 to 30 years category in 2009. The concert will be directed by Montreal conductor Julien Proulx, music director of the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Sherbrooke. The Canadian Music Competition is delighted with this collaboration which will offer some of our most promising young musicians a new on-stage experience.
